US Government Announces 90-Day Pause on Global Tariffs - Increases Tariffs on Chinese Goods

April 10, 2025

Effective April 10, 2025, the US Government announced a 90-day pause on the recently implemented and country-specific International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA) reciprocal tariffs, with the exception of the reciprocal tariff rate for China, which was increased to 125%. This measure reverts the reciprocal rate for all other countries to the 10% tariff that took effect on April 5th, 2025.

The IEEPA Fentanyl tariffs levied against imports from Canada, Mexico, and China remain in place.
